This is a treasure for me because the original LP's were some of my favorite records at the time & I haven't heard them for decades. You can tell I'm a big fan of this release, so I can't resist a few comments ... CD3's CPE Bach symphonies (1969) still tops any recording since, period or otherwise ... CD5, interesting choice for the only organ disc, has no Bach but his awesome Liszt BACH fantasia & a great Mozart piece (amazing dynamic range on this 1964 rec.) ... CD6, purists beware, has the most Gothic Bach harpsichord playing ever recorded, on some monster cold-war instrument (but check the gorgeous Pastorale). Fantastic! ... CD7 is one of the longest Goldberg sets (he takes every repeat), not my favorite but maybe in the top 5. Thanks for this great post!
